The engine shed G of the depot Charolais in Paris does not exist any more. After 80 years, it was destructed in October 2002. Sud Modélisme has created this model to make these monsters live again. Constructed in the 1920's at the concrete period (Maginot Line), they have been made to replace the ancient engine sheds that were not long enough to heold big trains. This model in resin copies the engine shed G at the Marseille Blancarde depot with the collaboration of the railway-club of Marseille (RPM 13), see the LINKS website, which gave us the plans of the building and photographies. This engine shed is meant for the "Plaque Fleischmann" withan angle of 7,5º. The kit is composed of 4 stalls made of synthetic stone for lateral and back sides and the roof. The 3 interior intercalaries are modeled in resin to make the kit rigid. All the glass is made of carved brass as well as the three ladders used for the roof. A lot of accessories are modeled in resin such as the front and back doors and theAssembling scheme for ROCO board or JOUEF with angle of 9º. The photography shows the turing board (brand ROCO) installed in a unit with the engine shed. We have made the engine shed 10 cm closer to the board in order for the doors to be in the direction of the road. Nevertheless at the back of the engine shed you will have a small gap because of the difference of angles between the railroad and the engine shed. The original kit is composed of four stalls. Length at the back : 42 cm Depth : 37 cm Height : 11,5 cm
