Afghan Motorcade (1979-1989). Unassambled plastic model kit.

One of the main targets of attacks by armed opposition groups in Afghanistan was motorcade with material resources, very vulnerable to small arms fire, as well as mines laid on the roads. All the vital activity of the Soviet and Afghan troops and the Afghan state as a whole depended on the safety, planned and timeliness of the movement of convoys.

The movement of troops and transport columns was carried out only in the daytime. Transport convoys had their own security, which included armored personnel carriers. Subsequently, for the protection of the columns began to be involved combat units.
