A lot of people were surprised and delighted when news of this kit was released some time ago, not only because they had been wanting a kit of this specific vehicle, but also because it represented yet another different example of one of the German prime movers. Many modellers had thought this one had been on the cards for some time before news of it was actually released, mainly because Dragon already had a fair number of Sd.Kfz.250 kits in their range, that vehicle being of course based on this one. In practice however, little of those kits could be used since the Sd.Kfz.250 had a shortened chassis and fewer wheels to allow for the extra weight of the armour in that version.
