One of the most numerous and famous cars in the world's history was the Model T produced by Ford Motor Company. They were widely used in the fronts of the WWI.
In 1915 a special design for naval armoured cars was developed on the chassis of the Model T by Chief Warrant Officer L. Gutteridge. A total of nine armoured cars were builit by W.G. Allen and Sons of Tipton, of which six are known to have arrived at the unit in Russia, where they served with British crews as light reconnaissance sections.
